Additional Sessions

We are running additional black belt preparation sessions that follow the adults class on Tuesdays & Fridays

We strongly advise all black tags and above attend these, even if they are not taking the next grading. These sessions are for he benefit of the members, therefore if there is something your particularly wish to cover from the black belt syllabus let Mr or Mrs Collett know.

In the mean time make sure you are working on your black belt thesis - if you don't have the handout advising of the areas to cover make sure you ask for it.

The technical course for the next grading will be on:  Saturday 21st September and is open to those aged 14 and above. It forms a vital part of your grading preparation and is your chance to cover all aspects of the grading assessment with the examiners themselves.

Choong-Moo

Choong-Moo           30 moves

Choong-Moo was the name given to the great Admiral Yi Soon-Sin of the Lee Dynasty. He was reputed to have invented the first armoured battleship (Kobukson) in 1592, which is said to be the precursor of the present day submarine. The reason why this pattern ends with a left hand attack is to symbolize his regrettable death, having no chance to show his unrestrained potentiality checked by the forced reservation of his loyalty to the king.
